67 Burger
This burger contest I’m doing is bringing me to the strangest places. I never thought I’d ever go to Fort Greene in Brooklyn. To me it was just a name with no face on a map. Little did I know there’s a lot to do in Fort Greene. And by ‘to do’ I mean eat because that’s basically what I like to do for fun. Eat, and a lot of it.
The gem that I found on this adventure is known as 67 Burger.
Easy name to remember as it’s located right on 67 Lafayette. You might think when walking in that this is a fast food joint. Well, it isn’t really, yet not exactly kind of sort of, ya know? To make that more clear, let me run it down for you. You do in fact order at the counter like a fast food joint. The menu is right there at the front like a fast food join. Now it’s starting to get different. The menu is order from is done a unique way, yet fun and easy. First you pick your meat; hamburger, turkey, grilled chicken, or veggie. In the second section of the menu you select the style you’d like. There’s choices such as Western, Italian, Cheese Lover’s, Teriyaki, etc etc (the list is thoroughly big). For the third step you can add on different cheeses and toppings like crispy onions, pesto, avocado puree, cajun spice, etc. And that’s the main part. You still have to pick your side and drink, but that’s easy.
The part where this becomes NOT fast food is in the serving. After your order, you’re given a numbered flag which you bring with you and place on your table.
A server will come by with each part of your meal as they become ready and bring it to you at the table. So it’s like a combo of fast food counter, sit-down restaurant service, top notch food, thing.
We chose basic sides with one of us getting curly fries
and the other just french fries (along with the Oreo milkshake. It was very creamy and smooth).
There is however an option to upgrade your fries to “cajun style”.
It’s spicy and improves a normally so-so side. The helpings are generous too.
Our selections were The Southwestern Burger (spicy chipotle mayo, roasted peppers, scallions, and jack cheese)
and The Ranch (ranch dressing, crispy onions, and your choice of cheese). All buns are toasted so it comes out nice n crispy.
Each burger has it’s own special sauce according to style. In each bite you can definitely see how the accompanying sauces make each individual burger special in its own style its supposed to be. What I mean is, if you bite into The Southwestern Burger it would taste how a Southwestern Burger should taste, or The Cajun Burger tastes like a Cajun Burger, or the Italian Burger tastes like an Italian Burger, I hope you know what I mean. In other words, the proper ingredients have been added, and it all makes sense. It was good, it was tasty, and we enjoyed it.

Even though I know I’d probably end up with an incredible stomach ache afterwards because I do not eat much meat, that burger, fries and shake look like they’d be totaly worth it! I just ate dinner and I’m hungry again.
Oh. My. Goodness. OK, the burgers look really good, but…that SHAKE! Wow!
