Campanelle with Onion, Turkey, and Goat Cheese
I’m going to let you in on a well known fact about me. I was supposed to post this last night, but I was distracted by my obsession in a show with former CTU Agent named Jack Bauer. You see Jack Bauer is simply the man who kicks major arse.

For those of you who do not know who Jack Bauer is… shame shame on you! If you’re a huge “24″ fan like myself, you know that you need to make a fast and easy dinner in order to mentally prepare for what is going to happen on the next episode. Here’s a no fuss recipe that is done in a instant, just in time before the time ticker on “24″ goes off. Campanelle with Onion, Turkey, and Goat Cheese is ridiculously easy to make and has a light creamy subtle flavor from the herb goat cheese which makes it a light dinner fare.
The following takes place between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm…
Pasta with Onion, Bacon, and Goat Cheese
- 1 pound campanelle
- 4 slices honey turkey, chopped
- 4 medium red onions, thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 tablespoon basil, plus more for serving
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- ground pepper for taste
- 4 ounces or 1/2 cup soft chèvre herb coated goat cheese
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook turkey until browned, 5 to 10 minutes

Add onions, garlic, and basil to turkey in skillet
Season with basil and pepper. Cook the onions until they begin to soften and caramelize about 15 minutes.
Meanwhile cook pasta according to the package and drain

Add onion mixture to the pasta
Then crumble goat cheese and toss to combine. Season once more with basil, parsley, and pepper.
Serve immediately and Enjoy!

wow yummy great post love the picts!
brilliant…. and looks tempting…
I’m a huge fan! This looks just right for snuggling up on the couch with and watching tv. Delicious flavors. And lots of comfort.
This recipe looks and sounds delicious. Love the photos and I will definitely be making this in the next day or so using some left over chicken from dinner tonight.
Just a thought, have you considered a print button, or putting the recipe by itself at the end of the post to make it easier to print off? Otherwise I either have to handwrite them out (which I confess I hate doing because I’m a scribbler lol) or the pictures use a lot of printer ink.
Oooooo! what a great idea!
Hi Lynne, I am definitely looking into having a print option feature for Simply Scrumptious. I need to make sure that it is compatible with the site layout and wordpress 2.9.1
thank you for your feedback!
A delightful recipe indeed! The caramelized red onions add a nice touch when added to this pasta dish.
Culinarily yours,
CCR

You know, I’ve never watched 24! But I love all of the Jack Bauer jokes online:
On Jack Bauer’s Tax Returns, he has to claim the entire world as his dependents.
Once, someone tried to tell Jack Bauer a “knock knock” joke. Jack Bauer found out who was there, who they worked for, and where the goddamned bomb was.
When Jack Bauer ran out of ammo, he caught 3 bullets in his chest and used them to reload.
OK I’ll stop now.
those jokes are awesome!! I love the Knock Knock joke lol
I watch sporadically these series; I know it’s very popular.
I also I know that this pasta with the extraordinary goat cheese is like your name, scrumptious!
Cheers,
Gera
