Ingredients

  • 1 package (3 ounces) cherry Jell-O
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping
  • 2 tablespoons crushed candy canes (for garnish)
  • Optional: 1 cup vodka (for adults)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve cherry Jell-O in boiling water until fully dissolved. Add cold water and peppermint extract; mix well.
  2. Pour the Jell-O mixture into shot glasses, filling them halfway. Refrigerate for about 2 hours or until firm.
  3. Once set, spoon whipped cream on top of each shot glass.
  4. If using vodka, mix remaining Jell-O with vodka and pour over the whipped cream layer until full.
  5. Chill again for an hour until the top layer is set.
  6. Garnish with crushed candy canes before serving.
