  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 sleeve (about 30) saltine crackers
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat while stirring constantly until boiling. Let it boil undisturbed for 3 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  3. Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet and pour the caramel mixture evenly over them.
  4. Bake for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
  5. Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl; sprinkle over the hot caramel immediately after baking. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes.
