  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream, room temp
  • 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup icing sugar

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk and mix in yeast and sugar; let froth for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Combine flour, remaining sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add eggs, softened butter, and yeast mixture; mix until shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Allow it to rise in a greased bowl for about an hour.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the filling evenly, and roll tightly.
  6. Cut into 12 pieces and place in a greased baking dish; let rise again for about 30-45 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  8. Prepare frosting by beating cream cheese, unsalted butter, heavy cream, and icing sugar until smooth.
  9. Frost warm rolls generously before serving.
