- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 1 large yellow onion, cut in half, thinly sliced into half-moon shapes
- 1 medium jalapeño pepper, sliced
- 1 cup (113 g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 package (12-count) Brioche slider rolls
- 1 recipe cowboy butter, melted, divided
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Season beef sirloin with salt and pepper; let rest for 30 minutes.
- In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and caramelize sliced onions over medium-low heat for 25-30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish.
- Sear the seasoned steak in the skillet until cooked to desired doneness; let cool before slicing thinly against the grain.
- Assemble sliders in the baking dish: layer bottom halves with cowboy butter, steak slices, jalapeños, cheese, and caramelized onions; top with remaining slider halves brushed with more cowboy butter.
- Bake covered for 15 minutes; uncover and bake until golden brown.
