  • 7 g instant gist
  • 15 g kristalsuiker
  • 7 g zout
  • 35 ml zonnebloemolie
  • 225 ml water
  • 40 g roomboter
  • 1 ei

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, salt, sunflower oil, and water. Mix well and knead for 10-12 minutes until smooth.
  2. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Divide the dough into two portions and roll each into a round shape on a floured surface.
  4. Spread room temperature butter on one round of dough and layer the other on top; cut into 12 triangles.
  5. Roll each triangle from the wider base towards the tip to form croissants.
  6. Place them on a lined baking sheet; brush with beaten egg and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 200ºC and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
