  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 small cucumber, grated and excess moisture squeezed out
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the meatballs and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
  5. Meanwhile, prepare tzatziki by mixing Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (squeezed dry), garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  6. Serve warm meatballs with tzatziki sauce.
