Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 medium-sized jalapeños
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded medium cheddar cheese
  • BBQ sauce for basting
  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  2. In another bowl, combine softened cream cheese with the rub mixture and shredded cheddar until smooth.
  3. Prepare the chicken by slicing it open lengthwise to create a pocket for the filling. Stuff each breast with jalapeño halves and the cream cheese mixture.

  5. Grill over medium heat until cooked through (about 6 minutes per side), basting with BBQ sauce towards the end.
