Instructions

  2. Melt the butter in a large bowl, then whisk in granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually fold this mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
