Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups tomato ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon paprika or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper or to taste
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine all ingredients: ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, yellow mustard, spices, and water.
  2. Heat over medium heat until boiling.
  3. Lower the heat and simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  5. Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
