  • 3 tbsp brown sugar (45 g)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour (95 g)
  • ½ cup brown sugar (100 g)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup cold butter, cubed (115 g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine yellow cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth. Pour into the prepared pan.
  3. In another bowl, toss apple slices with brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice; spread over the cake batter.
  4. For the crumb topping, mix flour, brown sugar, and salt. Add cubed butter and mix until crumbly; sprinkle over the apple layer.
  5. Bake for 35 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
