  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 12 small garlic bread rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Mix until just combined.
  3. Form into small meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides for about 6-8 minutes.
  5. Add marinara sauce to the skillet with meatballs and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. Slice garlic bread rolls in half horizontally.
  7. Assemble by placing mozzarella on the bottom half of each roll, adding a meatball with sauce on top, and topping with more mozzarella.
  8. Bake on a baking sheet for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted.
