Ingredients
- 1 (12-ounce) can tuna, drained and flaked
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ¼ cup celery, finely chopped
- ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 slices of sourdough bread
- 6 slices of cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flaked tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, celery, red onion, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
- Lay out 3 slices of sourdough bread and spread tuna salad evenly on each slice. Top with cheddar cheese and add another slice of bread to create layers.
- Heat skillet over medium heat. Butter both sides of the assembled sandwiches and grill for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat, cool slightly, cut into quarters, and garnish with parsley before serving.
