Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 8 slider rolls (or mini burger buns)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, Italian herbs, breadcrumbs, and egg until combined. Form into 12 meatballs.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown meatballs for 8-10 minutes.
  4. Slice slider rolls in half and place the bottoms in a greased baking dish. Layer with marinara sauce, meatballs, more sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
  5. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and Parmesan cheese; brush over sliders.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 5-10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
