  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta in boiling salted water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook chicken pieces seasoned with salt and pepper until browned.
  3. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté until fragrant.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning; simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Combine pasta with the sauce and mix in half of the mozzarella until melted.
  6. Top with remaining mozzarella and serve garnished with fresh basil.
